How Million Marker Evaluates Products
Our goal is to give consumers the healthiest product options, and we never charge companies to be listed or earn money from product sales. Our current list reflects the items our customers use most and brands we have independently researched. Companies can also request evaluations. Approval applies only to the specific product reviewed, not the entire brand. Each product is assessed based on ingredient scoring and comparison with established safer-product lists (e.g., EWG Skin Deep, Made Safe, Campaign for Safe Cosmetics). When needed, we also reach out to companies for additional information.
Go products include the safest options based on the label.
Slow products may contain essential oils and essential oil blends with fragrance allergens, natural fragrance, glycerin, phenoxyethanol, and other chemicals that are possible hazards (but better choices than the Stop products).
Stop products contain chemicals that have been shown to be harmful, including carcinogens, endocrine disruptors, obesogens, neurotoxicants, and developmental toxicants.
Million Marker maintains strict standards when evaluating these ingredients. We compile hazard data from multiple chemical databases and, based on these findings, recommend the safer products.
